SSR has a long history of expertise in sound and we specialise in engineering and production skills that can be applied in a range of creative professional pursuits. Our tutors are all active in the music and post production industries and offer unique perspectives on applying sound training to your career path.
World class facilities:
Students at SSR have access to a range of custom built facilities at our site in Camden, North London. This includes three live rooms, a post production suite, 2 music studios, a DJ rehearsal space and a range of high-end equipment available to loan out for your sessions at SSR. Our facilities are also available to hire to producers, bands and recording artists.
Real-world career guidance:
SSR is not only a college but also a working studio facility with strong industry connections. Our students are given experience on our commercial sessions and are supported in a number of tangible ways through our Graduate Support Programme after they complete their courses.
Intensive core skill-building:
We recognise the particular challenges of studying in London and our flagship Industry Diploma courses are designed to give you a high-level training fast. We focus on core technical skills in studio practice, in-the-box production, sound design and post production. These courses can be completed in 6 months (2 evenings) or 3 months (2 days).
SSR graduates currently work at:
Grand Cru Studios, Britannia Row, Wendyhouse, GPS Soho, Side Audio, Audio Engineering Society, Native Instruments and Ableton.
With artists such as Westlife, Stormzy, Louis Tomlinson, Olly Murs, Lil Simz, Avelino, Lily Allen, Friendly Fires, !!! and Octavian.
Many have gone on to setup their own successful audio and music businesses.
